An East Quogue man was found with illegal drugs and a firearm during a traffic stop on Saturday night, according to authorities.

Southampton police say they pulled over 37-year-old Christopher Worrell for a traffic infraction around 10:30 p.m.

Upon interviewing him, the officers determined that Worrell had been driving with a suspended license.

Further investigation uncovered the narcotics and a handgun inside the vehicle.

The charges against him include criminal possession of narcotic drug, criminal possession of a controlled substance, criminal use drug paraphernalia and criminal possession of a weapon.
