Residents in East Mountain Waterbury are beginning to receive water through a supply tank following a recent water main break.

Schools throughout Waterbury continue to remain closed due to the ongoing water issues.

A boil water advisory remains in effect for any water to be used for consumption. Officials encourage boiling water for at least a minute before use.

Water samples were sent out for testing Wednesday morning and are expected to be back on Thursday.

The mayor says that a plan to reduce the impact of future water main breaks is in motion.
