A Hamden man was shot and killed early Sunday morning at the P.T. Barnum Apartments in Bridgeport, marking the city's sixth homicide of the year.
The shooting occurred around 1 a.m. behind the Gary Crooks Memorial Center on Bostwick Avenue.
Police identified the victim as 46-year-old Johnny L. Nesmith.
Nesmith was shot multiple times outside of Building 21.
While his listed address was in Hamden, authorities confirmed he had also resided in Bridgeport.
