A crash involving a dump truck and a tractor-trailer is causing major traffic disruptions on Route 9 in Freehold.

Authorities have closed part of Route 9 south near the Craig Road intersection as police and emergency crews respond to the scene. The crash is located south of Craig Road and just north of Schibanoff Lane. Route 9 northbound is open but police are warning drivers about rubbernecking.

Initial reports indicate a dump truck crashed into a tractor-trailer. Police have blocked access to Route 9 south at Craig Road, near the BP gas station, Chase Bank and Lighting Expo.

Hazmat crews are currently on scene addressing a fluid leak that resulted from the collision. Numerous police officers and first responders remain at the scene as cleanup efforts continue.

No serious injuries are reported in the crash.
