A driver was hospitalized early Tuesday morning after a pickup truck ran off Interstate 195 and overturned into the woods.

State troopers responded to the single-vehicle crash at about 5:44 a.m. on I-195 West near milepost 28.6 in Howell Township, New Jersey State Police said.

According to a preliminary investigation, the driver of a Dodge Ram lost control, veered off the right side of the road and overturned into a wooded area.

The driver suffered injuries that were not considered life-threatening and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation, state police said.
