A driver accused of leading police on a chase is now facing upgraded charges in Hastings earlier this month.

Joseph Columbus, 41, refused to pull over during a traffic stop while three children were in the car, police said.

Investigators say the pursuit ended when Columbus crashed.

Officers say he still refused to get out of the vehicle before being taken to the ground.

Columbus is now charged with reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child.
