A dog found tied to a fence near a Garden State Parkway entrance is now safe as the Bloomfield Animal Shelter searches for the person who abandoned her.
Shelter officials said the dog was discovered Tuesday night on Summit Avenue near the Garden State Parkway entrance in Bloomfield.
The dog had been tied to a fence and left behind.
She is now in the care of the Bloomfield Animal Shelter, where staff are working to identify her owner and learn what happened.
Officials are asking anyone who recognizes the dog or has information about the case to contact the shelter.
