An overnight fire in Harrison took the life of a dog and displaced four families.
Firefighters responded to North 5th Street near Cross Street.
According to the fire chief, three residents managed to escape the burning home on their own. Other residents were assisted in getting out.
The flames spread from the main fire building on the left to a second home just to the right. The homes are extremely close together.
Although two dogs were removed and are OK, a third dog did not make it out alive. No word on what type of dog was lost.
No word on a cause as the investigation continues.
The Red Cross is assisting those displaced.
