The Department of Homeland Security has acknowledged that federal immigration agents brought detained immigrants to a warehouse along Route 46 in Roxbury prior to deportation, a move that appears to defy an active court order.
Federal authorities utilized the Roxbury facility in September to process 14 individuals following arrests, according to information obtained from Analilia Mejia.
The use of the property came to light after family members of those detained reported that their loved ones were transported to the Roxbury location before ultimately being transferred to Delaney Hall.
The utilization of the warehouse directly conflicts with a standing court order stipulating that the property must not be used until a complete environmental review is finalized.
