The New Jersey Department of Environmental Projection says that dead Canada geese found in parks throughout Allentown have tested positive for bird flu.
Officials said 25 dead geese were found in Sensi Park, Heritage Park and Doctor Farm’s Park.
The deaths come amid a nationwide outbreak of the virus – which has led to an egg shortage.
The Allentown parks will remain closed until further notice.
