Deno's Wonder Wheel Amusement Park got some historic news – it’s been added to the New York State Historic Business Preservation Registry.
The registry highlights businesses that have been in operation for at least 50 years and have contributed to its community's history.
According to its website, the only stoppage in the history of the Wonder Wheel was in 1977, during the infamous New York City blackout.
It was manufactured and built by the Eccentric Ferris Wheel Amusement Company between 1918-1920.
