The MTA reminded drivers to expect delays as some roads and bridges are closed on Sunday to make way for the TD Five Boro Bike Tour.
Some bridges, including the Madison Avenue Bridge and 3rd Avenue Bridges in the Bronx and the Verrazano Bridge in Brooklyn, are closed until 7:30 p.m. Exit 2 on the Major Deegan Expressway in the Bronx is also closed until 2 p.m.
Over 32,000 cyclists are expected to participate in the 40-mile bike tour. The first wave took off from Manhattan at 7:30 a.m and the last wave leaves at 10:25 a.m.
Customers can also sign up on MTA's website for email and text alerts about closures on tunnels and bridges.
