A deer that had a pole stuck in its antlers has been rescued in Midland Park, bringing relief to residents who had been trying to get help for the animal.
Midland Park police say conservation officers located the deer Tuesday and safely tranquilized it.
Officials were then able to remove the object that had become lodged in the animal's antlers.
