A Bellmore school gym transformed into a dance floor for a special fundraising event on Thursday.

Eight staff members from John F. Kennedy High School paired with professionals from JAM Dance & Fitness.

After weeks of training, the group performed before fellow teachers serving as judges.

Mr. Walsh, a social studies teacher and coach, was crowned this year’s champion.

The Dancing with the Stars-inspired fundraiser collected over $8,300 for Special Olympics New York.
