Two men have been indicted for assaulting a state trooper in Wappingers Falls, according to the Dutchess County District Attorney.
The incident happened last September when police responded to a report of 30 to 40 bikers on Route 9D. During that time, there was an accident involving one of the bikers.
When troopers attempted to render aid, members of the group interfered until additional police arrived. One member stole the trooper's hat from his vehicle.
The county district attorney said Steven Hasbrouck, 29, of Middletown, was indicted on assault and leaving the scene of an incident without reporting. Naquan Eubanks, 26, of Poughkeepsie, was indicted on assault.
Both men were arraigned and pleaded not guilty.
