Emergency crews rescued a person who was stuck inside a manhole Saturday night in West Farms.

Authorities say it happened just before 10 p.m. on 814 East 181 St. between Mapes Avenue and Southern Boulevard.

Firefighters removed the victim and took them to a local hospital.

Officials told News 12 that the DEP was notified about a broken manhole cover after the incident.
