Police in Orange County are cracking down on dangerous road takeovers.

Officers say late-night street racing, burnouts and reckless driving are a major problem on Route 97 in the town of Deerpark.

About 30 cars were cited in the crackdown, and police issued nearly 50 tickets for similar activity last week.

Investigators say some of the drivers were from Pennsylvania and Syracuse.

Police officials say more crackdowns are planned.
