A local Taco Bell is responding to residents’ concerns about late night noise in the area.
A representative from the fast-food chain went to the Westbury Village meeting on Thursday.
Bill Lawson, from Taco Bell facilities and maintenance told the crowd several changes have been made in response to concerns, such as eliminating deliveries after 10 p.m.
Lawson also said a sound professional is going to come to the location to check the decibel level of the drive-thru machine.
As News 12 has reported, residents said the noise keeps them up at night.
"You basically have failed to comply with almost every single one of those conditions of your approval, that's on you, not the residents,” said Village Mayor Peter Cavallaro.
Taco Bell management says, "We are being extra careful so that everybody is satisfied."
Management also plans to increase security at the property.
They still need to renew their special-use permit -- which allows the drive-thru to operate until 2 a.m.
