Connecticut State Police say "there is no threat to the public" regarding the recent sightings of drones in the state.
A statement from Troop B North Canaan says they are aware of drone sightings in the area and the reports of similar sightings in surrounding states.
Officials say they are monitoring the situation and are communicating with local, state and federal law enforcement.
Residents who see suspicious drone activity can report it by calling 860-626-1820 or use the Connecticut suspicious activity reporting portal.
People are encouraged to use the portal to report any sighting and "allow other stakeholder agencies" to track and investigate sightings, officials say.
