A community volunteer-run green space that has served the Bed-Stuy community for over 10 years is asking for help in their own personal war against rats.
Hasley Community Farm grows many residents' favorite herbs, flowers, and more. It's volunteer-run and hosts events regularly to teach people about growing food in urban areas.
The green space also has a beehive, wood workshops, hot sauce-making classes and more.
They're now facing a massive rat problem that's impacting their growth.
The green space has started a GoFundme to raise $2,000 in order to keep out the rodents and keep the plants thriving for summertime.
