City leaders and residents came together at Trinity Baptist Church in Wakefield to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during an interfaith gathering.
Elected officials, including Bronx Sen. Jamaal T. Bailey, Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark and Attorney General Letitia James, reflected on Dr. King’s impact on civil rights and equality.
“This is a day of action,” said Clark. “We have to put aside our differences and do all we can on behalf of the people we serve.”
James reminded attendees of the importance of standing united.
