As we head into the weekend, most of the region will continue to experience dry conditions.

FORECAST:

  • There is a slight chance of a shower late Saturday as a weak frontal boundary approaches. Current data suggests this system lacks substantial moisture, indicating limited impact. Following this, the area may enter a prolonged dry period, potentially extending the abnormally dry conditions already present in parts of the Hudson Valley.
  • Looking ahead to next week, daytime highs are expected to remain above seasonal averages, hovering near 80 degrees more typical of mid to late August. Overnight lows will consistently fall into the 50s and low 60s, providing cool and comfortable evenings.
  • Interestingly, even though we're at the peak of hurricane season, conditions remain quiet not just here, but also down in the tropics. We'll continue to keep a close eye on things, but at the moment, there's no sign of any systems developing that could impact our area anytime soon. In the meantime, enjoy the sunshine and the pleasant, mild temperatures.
