Crews worked overnight in Lynbrook to repair a water main break that affected 25 customers.

Liberty Water says it was notified around 11 p.m. Saturday about the break on Mill River Avenue, just off Ocean Avenue.

Michael Trotta, who lives across the street from where the break happened, says his water service was not affected.

“We were only affected by the commotion,” Trotta said. “My neighbor just came back from Maryland, and we called her to let her know the street might be closed. But they did a nice job. We were not inconvenienced from what I could tell.”

A worker on site told News 12 that water service was restored to customers around 10 a.m. Sunday.

According to Liberty Water, the water main break was caused by cold weather.
