Police busted a cockfighting ring in West Haven last Friday night after getting a report of an illegal event at a building on Front Avenue.
Officers say more than 100 people were at the event around a wooden arena. People were leaving when police arrived, but seven men were stopped and arrested.
Police seized 30 live roosters and several dead ones. All seven men are charged with animal cruelty.
