WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
The chilly temperatures won’t let up just yet. Temperatures will tumble into the teens during the overnight hours, so bundle up if you’re heading out.
The cold comes with a treat for skywatchers hoping to get a glimpse of the first supermoon of 2026. The Wolf Moon will rise and reach its peak at 5:03 a.m. This will mark the final supermoon in a streak of four that began back in October 2025.
Looking ahead, temperatures will gradually improve heading into the weekend. Conditions will stay mostly dry, though a brief period of light snow is possible late Saturday into Sunday. Beyond that, a warming trend takes hold for much of next week, bringing milder air and a few chances for rain.
