Cloudy, cooler, with a chance of light showers Tuesday

Summer shifts into high gear later this week.

The weather will remain cooler and cloudier for Tuesday, but there are major changes ahead and it's all starting later this week.
With the arrival of the summer solstice on Friday, the weather will suddenly shift gears and heat up.
There are a few hot and humid days on the way this week, but early next week we may be looking at a heat wave.
This will be the first really big heat for the season.
On Wednesday, temperatures will soar into the middle 80s with a risk of some thunderstorms, too.
Thursday looks even hotter, with temperatures approaching 90 degrees and more thunderstorms.
Temperatures will temporarily drop down into the 80s going into the weekend, but will return to the 90s again by Sunday.
TUESDAY: Cloudy, cool with sprinkles and light showers. High of 68 to 70.
WEDNESDAY: Mostly cloudy, a few showers/thunderstorms. High of 84.
THURSDAY: Chance of thunderstorms, hot and humid. High of 90.
FRIDAY: Mostly sunny. High of 87.
SATURDAY: Mostly sunny, risk of showers or storms late at night. High of 88.
SUNDAY: hot and humid. Mostly sunny. High of 91.
MONDAY: Mostly sunny. High of 94.
