Here’s what you need to know:
- We're closing out 2025 with festive snow and a brisk breeze. It stays very cold into the New Year with dry conditions.
- It's a very cold and mostly cloudy start to the day with biting winds. Gusts up to 25 MPH is leaving wind chills in the teens.
- The winds won't be as harsh as yesterday. However, today will still be freezing cold with a brisk breeze under a mostly cloudy sky. Highs will be in the low 30s.
- A weak storm system will bring few snow showers tonight. Snow showers arrive after 8 p.m. through 5 a.m. A quick trace to two inches of snow is expected across western Connecticut. It's less likely to see two inches of snow the further South you go. Slippery sidewalks and roads are expected. Stay tuned for updates.
- New Year's Day will be the coldest day this week with plenty of sunshine, arctic cold and bitter winds. Highs will struggle to get out of the 20s.
- Temperatures will be very cold Friday into the weekend with highs in the low to mid 30s. Our next chance of snow is early next week. Stay tuned for updates!
