About 9% of New Jerseyans, 175,000 people, will be flying this holiday weekend according to AAA.

Part of the 6 million Americans flying to their Thanksgiving destinations this year.

The FAA says this will be the busiest Thanksgiving in 15 years.

Today they have over 50,000 scheduled flights.

Tuesday had the most amount of flights for the holiday period.

There is a dip in flights on Thanksgiving and then a surge in flights on Sunday when most are traveling home.

As always, this time of the year, make sure you pack your patience. Check your flight status before leaving for airport and arrive early to give yourself extra time.
