Take a look at this bright and festive holiday display in Ronkonama. This is George Curdo's home on 5th Street. He and his family have been decorating the house for about 15 years, and it looks amazing. For the past 11 years they have turned it into a way to give back, raising money for mended little hearts of Long Island. It is a cause that is very close to their hearts. Our son Luke was born with a congenital heart defect called tetralogia Flo, and then we got um introduced to that group and saw that so much good that they do for everybody, for, for children like this that we said, hey, if we're doing the lights, let's do it for a good cause as well. And you can catch their holiday light show every night through January 6th. And if you would like to donate, we have the details posted on our website. Well, this holiday season we are showcasing some local light displays that are making a difference. At 44 Mills Road in Stony Brook, they have over 31,000 lights synchronized with your favorite holiday hits. Take a look with this here. The Three Village Light Show has been shining in the community for 5 years. The Ansera family is raising money for the Ronald McDonald House charities and their capital project at Stony Brook University. We got to use Ron McDonald House several years ago, uh, when one of the kids was in the hospital and it was, it was very helpful. And you can check out the Light show Thursdays from 5 until 10 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 5 until 10:30 through New Year's Eve. Some Long Islanders are using their holiday lights to give back. Yeah, check this out, dazzling display right at 69 Harrington Avenue in Lindenhurst. The Mets family, they have been putting on a show here for 6 years while also accepting donations for the Make A Wish Foundation. They say that fans can expect to see a new and improved show this year. This year we have over 60 songs, um, probably 50 of them are all brand new. No one's ever seen them before. I really love every part of it, and especially how he's revamping his show is technically a new era for him. The display is open Fridays through Sunday nights, but we'll be opening up more often as we get closer to Christmas. If you're interested in donating, we have a link on our website, news twelve.com.
