All right, Bronx Week is underway, so we are celebrating some of our borough's hot spots, and we're at the New York Botanical Garden this morning, a perfect place to celebrate mom this weekend, just an idea for you. News Twelve's Brittany Cadet has much more on what's in store. Britney, good morning. The views just keep getting better behind you. Yeah, Christy, I mean a change of location now you can see it's a beautiful backdrop here at the New York Botanical Garden. Good morning to you back in the studio. But you know, this is a great place to bring mom this weekend. So I have Ms. Joanne Grok here today with a little bit more on what we could see this weekend and what could mom see? Yeah, well, it's a little rainy today, but tomorrow the skies are supposed to clear and tomorrow and Sunday we will have. Uh, daytime programming celebrating mom here at the garden. Daffodil Hill will come alive with live music, uh, lawn games, face painting, and crafting for mom, and it's sure to be a really wonderful day out. And we'll also have Lego here. Uh, you can come and explore. The Lego botanicals and the Lego uh flower truck and you can make a rose out of Legos and give that as one of your gifts to mom. That's awesome. And I know the Lego truck will be here for a few weekends. What can, you know, some of these people make with these Legos? Well, you'll have a chance to see this really fun collection of Lego botanicals and uh this weekend you can make a rose for mom as the month progresses you can make other plants and, uh, later this month when we open our Van Gogh's flowers exhibition, visitors will be able to make a sunflower and bring that home. Awesome, thank you. Well, again, it's gonna be a beautiful weekend for mom, so make sure you bring mom out. You could even make her a Lego rose. It will never die. So it'll be the perfect present for her. So make sure that you guys do come down here to the New York Botanical Garden. I'm Brittany Cadett here at the New York Botanical Garden. Yeah, Christy, I mean, I can see the green behind me but no sun yet. It's a little bit cloudy, but it will be a beautiful weekend to come down to the New York Botanical Garden. So good morning from here, and there will be a lot of new exhibits opening up for the month and especially for this weekend, Mother's Day. I have Ms. Joanna Grok here this morning. Tell me a little bit about some of the exhibits that we can expect to see. Sure, this weekend when the sun comes out, it'll be time to celebrate mom and then next week we on Saturday, on Saturday, May 17th, we will be welcoming visitors for Spring on Cork. It's our annual wine tasting festival. Visitors can come and sample wines from a number of regional wineries. We have food, we have lawn games, we have live music. It's a really fun day out. And how many days will this, uh, exhibit or event be? Spring uncorked is one day. We'll also for the whole weekend have a beautiful pop up that Lego is bringing us. They're bringing their floral truck and all of their Lego botanicals, and visitors will have the chance to walk through their display, to do, um, to make a Lego plant and bring it home. It'll be a really fun time. Awesome. And every weekend in, well, almost every weekend here in May, the Lego truck will still be here. Awesome. So you heard it here. Mother's Day. Come and make mom a Lego flower here, of course, while supplies last. But uh, the New York Botanical Garden is open from Tuesdays to Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and then over the weekend is when you can expect to see those exhibits and events to have tons of fun in.
