A cave-in on Saratoga Avenue has been causing issues for a Bed-Stuy community for the last seven months.
Residents tell News 12 that workers with the Department of Transportation have been out to fix the hole multiple times.
“They put a band-aid on it and then it comes right back," said Cookie, a Bed-Stuy resident.
Video taken back in September shows one woman crossing the street and falling into the hole.
“When I looked in the camera, the camera showed her laying down. She really got hurt," said Cookie.
News 12 reached out to DOT and was told that the Department of Environmental Protection is responsible for road cave-ins. A spokesperson for DEP says they are dispatching crews to fix it.
