CAVA officially opened its doors to the Eatontown community Thursday, expanding the Mediterranean fast-casual chain’s presence along the Jersey Shore.

Located at Monmouth Mall, 180 Route 35, the new restaurant offers customizable bowls, pitas, dips and dressings. It will be open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

“Our mission is to bring heart, health and humanity to food, and everything we do at CAVA is grounded in that spirit of generosity to our guests, our team members and our community,” said Rod Jones, CAVA regional director. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to have a presence at the expanding Monmouth Mall and continue growing our presence in the Jersey Shore area.”

Before its grand opening, the restaurant hosted a Community Day event, inviting local residents to enjoy a free meal in exchange for donations supporting Food Rescue U.S. Bridgewater. CAVA pledged to match community donations up to $1,000.

According to company representatives, the Eatontown location is expected to employ between 25 and 40 local workers.
