A man was caught on camera jumping onto a parked car and stomping its windshield as neighbors say several vehicles were vandalized across Sheepshead Bay.

Surveillance video from Aug. 28 shows a man wearing a dark hoodie climb onto a white car before jumping on the glass.

Neighbors counted at least eight damaged vehicles across several streets near East 13th and East 14th streets. Police have confirmed three drivers filed reports.

One driver reported about $3,000 in damage. The other reports involved damage estimated at more than $250.

"I'm over here in this neighborhood more than 30 years, this never happens" local business owner Sherif Dogan said. "We see in the video, he's really active, But we can't see the face. We're looking for the face," said Dogan.

Natia Kopadze said her car was damaged and that she later saw a man damage another vehicle and shove a neighbor. She said her husband, Levan Kobesov, grabbed the man and held him while they waited for police.

"My husband tried to stop this guy and call the police," Kopadze said. "But when police came, my husband was arrested, and this guy just go."

A police spokesperson confirmed Kobesov was arrested after a 24-year-old man accused him of putting pressure on his neck. Kobesov was charged with criminal obstruction of breathing and harassment.

Police have not connected the 24-year-old man to the vandalized cars.

"I'm stressed, and I think everything what happened is wrong with my husband," Kopadze said.

She said Kobesov is due in court Sept. 16. No arrests have been made in connection with the damaged vehicles.
