Fire crews in Valhalla responded to a car fire late Monday into early Tuesday on Grasslands Road near Woods Road.

The fire was quickly knocked down, according to the fire department.

There is no word yet on what caused the fire or whether anyone was injured.

The department said it was one of 15 calls answered in a four-hour span.

Earlier in the night, crews shut down the Taconic State Parkway to rescue people trapped in vehicles in floodwaters.
