No injuries were reported after a car drove into Aldi on Monroe Turnpike Saturday afternoon.

The building sustained significant damage and was closed to customers while engineers conducted a structural assessment Saturday, according to authorities.

It is not yet known when the store will reopen.

Multiple agencies responded to the scene, including the Monroe Fire Department, Police Department, EMS, and Fire Marshal, as well as the Trumbull Building Department, Monroe Health Department, Monroe First Selectman, and a tow operator.
