A vigil was held on Tuesday for an NYPD officer who was the victim of a deadly crash in Orange County.
Officer Juliana Torsiello, a Putnam Valley native, was traveling on County Road 51 in Campbell Hall when she lost control on a curve on Friday, May 24.
The car went off the road and rolled over, trapping her inside. Torsiello died at the scene, according to detectives.
Fellow officers, family and friends held candles and honored the 25-year-old's life at the vigil in West Harlem on Tuesday.
"Juliana served with distinction and embodied the core values of the NYPD. She served with courage integrity and commitment," said Capt. Cary Rose.
Torsiello's funeral will be held on Saturday, June 1.
