Brooklyn actor Jonathan Judge-Russo is starring as Drew in Music City, an Off-Broadway country jukebox musical at St. Luke’s Theatre in Midtown Manhattan.
The production follows two aspiring Nashville brothers, Drew and T.J., as they pursue careers in country music while facing personal and moral challenges.
Judge-Russo, who is also the founding artistic director of the Animus Theatre Company, originated the role of Drew.
Music City features country songs along with original music by J.T. Harding, a multi-platinum, Billboard chart-topping songwriter whose credits include songs recorded by artists such as Blake Shelton and Keith Urban.
The production includes an immersive theater setting and a live open mic segment before the main performance, involving members of the cast and audience.
