A Brooklyn high school has been named the top public high school in New York, according to new rankings from U.S. News & World Report.
Brooklyn Latin School ranked No. 1 in the state and No. 73 nationally after U.S. News reviewed more than 27,000 public high schools across the country.
The rankings are based on several factors, including college readiness, state assessment proficiency and performance, graduation rates, access to advanced coursework and outcomes for underserved students.
Brooklyn Prospect Charter School also performed well, ranking 10th in New York state.
Several Westchester County schools earned top national rankings, including Harrison High School at #4, Dobbs Ferry High School at #7 and Yonkers High School at #9.
