More than 1,700 customers in Brooklyn are without electricity as of 5:30 a.m. Saturday morning, according to the Con Edison outage map.

The outages have an estimated restoration time of 11 p.m.

Con Edison says it reduced voltage in parts of the city to help protect the electric system during the heat wave and are asking customers to conserve electricity to help prevent additional outages.
