On this week's Road Trip: Close to Home, immerse yourself in the newest exhibition at the Brooklyn Museum that's putting Tibetan culture and tradition on display.
The Tibetan Buddhist Shrine Room is a popular exhibition that lived in the Rubin Museum of Himalayan Art.
Now, it will spend the next six years at the Brooklyn Museum.
The immersive exhibition includes more than 100 artworks and ritual objects. Every two years, the exhibition will slightly change as it follows the four main traditions of Tibetan Buddhism.
Elena Pakhoutova, the curator, says stepping into the shrine is an opportunity to learn and feel.
