A Bronx woman has been arrested for an antisemitic assault on the E train.

Police say that on May 31, Diana Smith, 23, was on an E train at the Canal Street subway station. She approached a 23-year-old woman and made antisemitic remarks before hitting her about the body and pushing her to the ground.

Smith was arrested and is facing many charges including assault, criminal obstruction of breathing and aggravated harassment. Police are calling her actions a hate crime.
