A new line of clothing is hitting the racks at the University of Mount Saint Vincent campus store.
A partnership between Bronx-based clothing brand Bronx Native and the university is getting students excited about connecting with their community.
"It's great! You can show school pride and borough pride, it's amazing!" said student body president Orangel Mejia. The clothing includes T-shirts, long-sleeve shirts, hoodies and hats all branded by both the university and Bronx Native designs.
Bronx Native founder and owner Amaurys Grullon told News 12 that the Bronx-themed clothing is all about representation and self expression.
"You know, our brand is always about representation, telling our story. So the fact that we get to collaborate with such an amazing school like this, who has their roots here in the Bronx... it's incredible," said Grullon. University President Dr. Susan Burns spoke about the school's commitment of staying connected to their community.
"We are of and for the Bronx and we want our students to feel like the university is really part of this community as well," said Dr. Burns.
The merchandise is now available at the university's campus store, the "Phin Shop."
