A Bronx man was found guilty Monday of assaulting an MTA worker.

Isaiah Thompson, 29, assaulted an MTA employee on June 10, 2025, according to the district attorney’s office.

According to the investigation, 36-year-old MTA conductor Lynette Pierce was on a southbound 6 train.

Officials say that when the train pulled into the Whitlock Avenue subway station in Foxhurst, Tompson came up on Pierce, who was standing on the platform, and slashed the left side of her face with a sharp object.

Pierce suffered two lacerations to her face, according to court records. She was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where she received eight stitches.

Thompson was arrested on a warrant at his home on June 12, 2025, with police identifying him as the attacker through surveillance video. A spokesperson from the prosecutor's office says Thompson will be sentenced on Sept. 8.

News 12 reached out to the operators' union TWU Local 100 for comment and is waiting to hear back.
