Bronx man facing murder charge also arrested for gunpoint robbery at Norwood laundromat
Police say a Bronx man was arrested, accused of carrying out a gunpoint robbery at a laundromat in Norwood. He also faces a murder charge for a fatal shooting in Pelham Bay.
Wanderlin Mateo, 18, is charged with robbery and criminal possession of a weapon for allegedly carrying out the Feb. 14 robbery alongside another man who remains on the loose.
The robbery happened just before 7 p.m. inside 3601 Bainbridge Ave. Police say Mateo and the other man are accused of holding a 28-year-old man and a 29-year-old man at gunpoint, getting away with a wallet, money, jewelry and keys.
No one was injured.
