A hospital in the tri-state has been recognized for the support it provides to newborns and new moms.
North Central Bronx Hospital in the borough's Norwood section was recently redesignated as a baby-friendly facility through January 2032.
The status requires that hospitals meet the internationally recognized "Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding," developed by the World Health Organization and UNICEF.
Over the past decade, the hospital's labor and delivery department has welcomed over 11,00 babies.
