A Bronx artist is honoring singer José Feliciano with a mural in West Farms.
Many residents may not know that the creator of the holiday classic "Feliz Navidad" was born blind and made his first public appearance at the Teatro Puerto Rico in the Bronx at the age of 9.
Tony "RAM 2" Cruz honored Feliciano by creating a new mural.
Anyone who want to see the artwork can go to R&S Express Laundry Center at 2077 Southern Blvd.
Cruz is the artist behind several large-scale murals across the borough.
As someone who struggles with his own vision, Cruz says the message behind the mural is that with resilience anyone can achieve their dreams no matter their ability or disability.
