Downtown Red Bank is once again serving up a unique blend of food, competition and entertainment.
Chef Mike DiLeo joined Syma Chowdhry in the News 12 studio to preview Broadwalk's Culinary Masters and the latest head-to-head showdown taking place Tuesday, Aug. 11.
The live outdoor cooking competition returns to the Broadwalk Stage on Broad Street, where executive chefs from local restaurants battle in front of a live audience.
Created and hosted by DiLeo, the event is designed to showcase local culinary talent while supporting area restaurants and small businesses.
During each competition, chefs receive a mystery basket of surprise ingredients and must create original dishes against the clock.
The Aug. 11 showdown features Chef Aakash Pandya of Bombay River taking on Chef David Rangel of Robinson's Ale House.
The dishes will be judged by The Real Housewives of New Jersey personality Danielle Cabral and Frankie Brusco.
The event is free and open to the public, allowing spectators to gather around the Broadwalk Stage, watch the action unfold and support their favorite chefs.
Organizers say the series has become a popular summer attraction, combining community engagement, culinary creativity and friendly competition in the heart of downtown Red Bank.
