A 27-old-year Bridgeport man died in a shooting Saturday, according to police.
The shooting marks the city's first homicide.
Authorities say the incident happened around 4:30 p.m. in the 200 block of Lake St. off Reservoir Avenue by the intersection of Polk Street.
Officers found Steven Vega with gunshot wounds to the torso and hand.
An investigation suggests an altercation took place inside a home on 242 Lake St. and continued outside, according to authorities.
Vega was transported to the hospital, where he died Sunday morning.
Officials believe the shooting was an isolated incident and Vega knew the shooter.
