A Bridgeport nonprofit dedicated to fostering social change and ensuring the healthy development of young people and families will hold a fundraiser to support those goals on Feb. 16 at Park City Music Hall in Bridgeport from 6-9 p.m. Mary Pat Healy - Catalyst CT vice president of external affairs and strategy - says working for Catalyst CT is "highly rewarding." "Personally, I love it. I grew up in Bridgeport and I feel that every kid deserves a chance," she said. Ace Gonzalez, a sophomore at Central Magnate High School, is part of a Catalyst CT ambassador program that promotes social and emotional learning among Bridgeport high school students who might need "a second chance." "It's amazing picking up others off the ground when it feels like they're already down - picking them back up and letting them come into our community," Gonzalez said.
