Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim says the city has received a record number of complaints this year about potholes.
"We've had hundreds and hundreds of people calling after one of the worst winters on record -- and that's why I decided to put together a massive public facilities operation to
repair the potholes, using what we like to call 'the pothole killer,'" Ganim said.
"The pothole killer" is a nickname for a mobile set of equipment. It includes a truck equipped with spray injection patchers and an asphalt recycler commonly known as "a hot box," as Ganim explained it to News 12.
"Our crew is hitting the road every single day, and we encourage residents to use a special app we've set up to report the potholes," Ganim added.
